My chosen scene shows the mains actors, Richard Gere and Julia Roberts walking down the street to the shop. While walking down the street she shows some worry about going to the shop as they wasn't welcoming towards her however Richard tells her they're nice to credit cards to attempt to reassure. 25 seconds in they arrive at the shop where Edward (played by Richard) introduces Julia to the store manager and they then begin helping her shop and advise her what to buy. There are then various shots of her trying on different outfits. The shopping scene then ends with he leaving store having spent a lot of money. Julia then walks back down the street to the shop she went to the day before and got rejected because of the way she was dressed and rubbed it in their face that they missed out on the commission from the amount of money she spend.

I like this scene, as the dialogue within it is entertaining. At the beginning of the scene Richard says to Julia "Stop fidgeting and get rid of your gum" she then spits her gum out in the street and someone flinches away from her and Edward says, "I don't believe you did that." This piece of dialogue gives the audience humour, as it's not something you would happily do. When they then enter the shop Edward speaks to the store manager about what he would like which then of course the manager is more than happy to help. Although this scene is only regarding clothes shopping it’s entertaining for the viewer as the conversation between Edward and the store manager make you realize the manager is just trying to impress him for the money and Edward isn’t concerned about the cost.
